Oyster Catchers

Oyster Catchers is a replacement 3 bedroom dwelling on a very sensitive site located on the cliff top overlooking the beautiful Lee Bay in North Devon.

Oyster Catcher’s site was in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and on the South West Coast Path, as as controversial as they get. The clients had an existing bungalow that was falling apart due to a mixture of poor construction and suspected ground movement. Our solution was to demolish the existing building and build a very strong piled foundation to resist ground movement, and create a spacious 3 bed retirement home.
