The Fernery

The Fernery is a luxurious eco family home located near the UK’s best beaches of North Devon. It has contemporary open plan living space with double height living space and mezzanine level above with glass doors opening onto a raised terrace overlooking the beautiful Higher Slade Valley.

The Fernery had a brief that was to extend the property to create a self contained artists studio. JRA designed an innovative solution to extend above the existing parapet flat roof to not only provide additional space, but also to “complete” the building.
